Update: Now with a real domain!

Welcome back if you visited the old site, may it rest in shame, and greetings to the newcomers just checking my webspace out for the first time.
It's been a year since the launch of the old site, and I finally decided that I might actually want my site to have its own domain, instead of residing on a subdomain of someone else's for-profit free hosting conglomerate: nothing says unprofessional like a bunch of ads for geico and free credit reports plastered all over your site. Well, except for a deviantart page with ads all over it, but I digress. The point is, I'm in the process of moving from a me-too tonka toy website to real site where any bandwidth costs have to come out of my pocket.
The site feels a bit dated now, and I'm in the process of redesigning it in html 5, but in the interim you'll just have to bear with the old look. Not that this site is particularly ugly or hard on the eyes, but staying current with web trends has its importance, keeps me somewhat up to date with basic web design (I hand code pretty much everything in notepad) and lets me learn a thing or two about what goes into making a website.
Furthermore, it's about time I updated my portfolio with some of the latest paintings I've done, and I'd like to start getting in the habit of adding the process I went through to make a given painting from thumbnails/silhouettes to finished piece. I've got some brushsets I'd like to upload to a cloud storage service like Box so I don't have to pay the bandwidth for you the viewer to download, and I'm going to start to selling selected works on RedBubble in the near future, so it's kind of an exciting time for me.

Enjoy your stay, and I hope you'll be back soon...
